Søren Bach grew up in Aarhus, Denmark and arrived in New York to study architecture at Columbia before pivoting entirely to visual art. His practice is an investigation of negative space — what happens when you remove almost everything. Each composition begins with a strict mathematical framework, then proceeds through subtraction. Shapes are removed. Colors are quieted. Lines are halved. What remains is something both architectural and almost alive. His limited-edition prints have sold through MoMA Design Store and Æther & Ether in Copenhagen. For WornCanvas, Søren produced his most spatial work yet: compositions designed for the specific proportions and folds of the human body.
